MSPN HOMEPAGE ………… OUR CARE MODEL ………….CHILDREN WE’VE HELPED……..……DAILY LIFE ………...OUR BLOG
…
Currently, we are primarily funded by the Belgian NGO Fonds Parbati, supplemented with contributions from national and international visitors and volunteers. Our volunteers mainly come from Projects Abroad, a volunteer organization, which has recently also contributed monetary support. MSPN is a member of UCAAN (Universal Access for Children Affected by AIDS in Nepal), and are supported by UCAAN and Save the Children for emergency medical relief. As we are a part of the National Center for HIV/AIDS Control, our children and caretakers receive ARV treatment from local government hospitals. We are also associated with many organizations who work for HIV/AIDS infected people, such as Nava Kiran Plus, Sakti Milan Samaj, Shena Samaj, Mitra Samaj and others.

Yet providing our holistic care is very costly, and we can only continue to offer such services with your help. Please donate to MSPN to help us maintain our level of care. With additional funding, we are planning to develop a preventative program to educate expectant mothers who are HIV+ to prevent the transmission to their newborn child. We also hope to develop centers in different parts of the country where there are higher incidences of HIV/AIDS among children.

Sponsor a child at MSPN
Sponsoring a child for any length of time would make a world of difference for these children. Additionally, if you would like to provide your address, we will send a photo and background of the child you will be supporting here at MSPN.

Sponsor a family from MSPN
The impact of HIV does not only affect the infected children, who are often expelled from their schools or shunned by fellow students. In Nepal, HIV carries such fear and discrimination that HIV-negative siblings also face an uncertain future, with parents who are ill and difficulties obtaining education.

Sponsor a dietitian at MSPN

Currently we can only support a consultant dietitian twice a week. We would love to be able to hire a dietitian for daily support and advice about the dietary needs of the children.

Sponsor a teacher at MSPN
Currently we can only afford an informal education for the children four days of the week for two hours, with additional lessons to the parents 1-2 times a week. Since schools in Nepal expel children with HIV, this education may be the only schooling the children receive.

………………………………………….Sponsor a program assistant at MSPN

Currently our Program Manager Ranju Pandey relies solely on volunteers to assist in administrative and ongoing program duties, fund raising activities, proposal writing, correspondence, networking and writing case histories. We desperately need a hired assistant to provide support for our many program needs.
