.
After several years of experience, FNC began to find many cases of depression, lower educational achievement, anxiety, separation anxiety, low self-esteem and identity crises in children despite the friendly support and environment we provided. FNC recognized the urgent need for psychosocial care and support for our children, so we established the Ankur Counseling Center (ACC) in February 2006 with an aim to improve the quality of life of children of FNC through psychosocial care, training and education. Since its inception, ACC has been providing counseling services to the children and youths of FNC, the Nepalese Youth Opportunity Foundation [NYOF] and the Happy House Foundation [HHF], as well as to local community people in need.
.
Our Goal:

To improve the quality of life of children through psychosocial care, training and education. The general purpose of ACC is to provide counseling services to children from the Nepalese Youth Opportunities Foundation [NYOF], Friends of Needy Children [FNC] and Happy House Foundation children [HHF].

.

Our Objectives:

1. Providing a wide range of counseling services to NYOF, FNC and HHF children as well as children from the community or from other similar programs who would benefit from counseling.
2. Provide different trainings (psycho-therapeutic and general) and requested Orientations.

This not only enhances the attention and services that each of our clients receive, but it also improves our counselers in their skills and strategies.]

[Students of psychology, paraprofessionals and professions are encouraged to visit our institute and study  psychology reference books, journals, magazines, treatment planners, and various audio and visual materials donated by Dr. Barbara Jones, many of which are not
