Welcome to FNC

Friends of Needy Children (FNC) is a child-focused non-profit organization registered under Nepal’s Social Welfare Council that works to secure the rights and ensure the welfare of Nepal’s most disadvantaged children and young people. We have numerous programs located across Nepal focusing on child protection, nutrition, education, counseling, the abolition of child indentured labor, and children with HIV/AIDS. In collaboration with the Nepalese Youth Opportunity Foundation (NYOF), we have served more than seven thousand disadvantaged children, providing them with education, health, food, shelter and other facilities.

.

FNC believes that all children and youth in Nepal deserve the basic right to reach their full potential, unhindered by poor family backgrounds, poor health or trauma in their past. We founded the first program designed to rescue Nepali daughters sold into slavery and we are one of the leading non-profit providers of scholarships in Nepal. We run care centers designed to restore the health of malnourished children, give HIV+ children a chance at life, and support orphaned and disabled children. We collaborate with US-based Nepalese Youth Opportunity Foundation (NYOF) on many of our programs, and partner with other international NGO’s such as Action Contre la Faim (ACF), Fonds Parvati Belgium, Art Venture Singapore, and the Western Union Foundation.
